High School Baseball Rankings

highschool-baseball-ranking-03

Ranking high school baseball nationally is extremely difficult given how many baseball programs there are in the country. The quality of baseball also differs throughout the United States, with the warm weather states tending to have longer baseball seasons and thus better more practiced baseball players. This has to be taken into account when making high school baseball rankings and add to the daunting task at hand

Baseball America, MaxPreps the USA Today and Freeman Computer rankings are four organizations which take on the challenge of ranking high school baseball teams on a weekly or monthly basis. In 2013, they split on the national champion in their final poll. Baseball American and Freeman went with Harvard-Westlake High School from Studio City, California whereas MaxPreps and The USA Today selected Pensacola Catholic High School in Pensacola Florida.
