College Baseball is So Competitive there are so many Junior Colleges , Div 2, Div 3
It is easy to hit with Aluminum Bats !! The ball jumps off it! It’s getting through Rookie Ball and the Minors leagues is the real battle ! There are so many 1 draft picks that never gone anywhere in The Major Leagues. It’s getting past the Minors !!

Any list that doesn’t include JD Drew is bogus. He is one of three players to hit 30+ HR, score 100+ runs, and have 100+ RBI. Oh and he hit .455 and is the only player in college baseball history to hit 30+ HR and Steal 30+ bases in a season.

The Baseball diamond is a square 90ft. per side. which makes the distance from Home Plate to 2nd base 127.3 ft. by the Pythagorean Theorem. The distance from the pitchers mound to the grass line, that is infield, is 95ft. This means that 2nd base, and therefore all bases are inside the infield, because 95 + 45 = 140ft. 140 – 127 = 13 ft. So the base farthest out, 2nd base, is 13 feet inside the outfield line. 45′ is the distance from the pitchers mound to 2nd base, rounded off. Outfield is anywhere from 13ft outward from 2nd base to the fence., or 95ft. from the Pitchers mound to the fence. Hope this helps.
